2023 Queer Conscience Photography Exhibition
The Image Flow invites artists closely tied to the LGBTQIA2+ community to submit work to our juried photography exhibition Queer Conscience 2023. What could you do with a clear conscience? Who could you be? How could you live, free of judgement, shame, expectation, or fear? The queer experience is unlike any other, and even within our vibrant community, no two queer identities are quite alike. This is what has the power to unite us; a respect for our differences that can create bonds like a family. Living as a queer person can be complex, and frightening, and beautiful all at once. In this juried exhibition set to coincide with Pride month, we ask LGBTQIA2+ artists to share their truest queer journeys with us, and allow us to see your personal ✨queer conscience✨.
Eligibility This call is open to all photographers who consider themselves members of the LGBTQIA2+ community; we absolutely cherish and love our straight friends and allies, but for this exhibit we hope to amplify queer voices. This national call for entry is open to all photographic artists living or working in the United States and its territories. All entries must be original works of art and entirely the work of the entrant. Accepted entries will be exhibited at The Image Flow in San Anselmo, CA and in our online gallery. Photographers whose work is in a digital format will have their work printed and framed by The Image Flow for exhibition. All analog/original artwork must be framed to professional standards. For details, seeTerms & Conditions.

The Image Flow aims to celebrate photography in all its forms and to provide a platform for photographers of all levels to create work, exchange ideas, and to innovate the medium of photography. Our staff and instructors are deeply engaged with photographic practice in their daily lives and bring that same dedication to our space each day. We remain committed to making photography accessible to the community by providing public exhibitions, free lectures, workshops, rentals, and imaging services.
Today, our workshops and services continue to be in support of Stuart’s mantra, driving toward photography in print form. Whether you seek to achieve this goal in the darkroom or using digital images, we possess the tools and expertise needed to help bring your vision to life.
